What saves automatically

Your writing saves automatically as you type. If your connection drops, changes are stored on your device and sync back the moment you’re online again.

On top of that, every document keeps a version history: a version is saved automatically at the start of each writing session, and you can save one manually before a risky rewrite. If content looks off, you can preview and restore an earlier version without losing anything.

Backups you control

Beyond version history, you can take a full project snapshot at any point, or download a complete project export as a portable archive independent of Endra Studio entirely.

How stored copies are protected

Versions, snapshots, and our own nightly backups are encrypted before they reach storage, with keys that never leave Endra Studio’s servers. Someone who got hold of the stored files alone would have unreadable data, not your manuscript.

If something still looks wrong

Check version history for the specific document first. Most “lost” content turns up there. If you’ve checked and something still seems genuinely missing or wrong, open a ticket rather than assuming the worst.
