Tagging system

Tag any chapter, character, or note with a shared, project-wide set of tags to group things that don't otherwise sit near each other.

Tags are a project-wide way to group things that live in different parts of your manuscript tree, character gallery, or notes. Anything that shares a tag shows up together, regardless of where it actually sits.

Adding a tag

From any chapter, character, or note, add a tag by typing its name. If the tag already exists in your project, it’s reused; if not, it’s created.

What tags are good for

Grouping things a folder structure can’t: every scene told from a particular point of view, every character belonging to one faction, every note related to a single subplot. Since tags cut across your manuscript tree and character gallery rather than living inside either one, they’re a good fit for anything that spans both.
