Security: password, sessions, revoking devices

Change or set your password and see every device currently signed into your account, with the ability to sign any of them out.

Your account’s security settings cover the basics: your password, and where you’re currently signed in.

Changing your password

From your account’s security settings, enter your current password and a new one (minimum 8 characters) to change it. You’ll need your current password even if you’re already signed in.

If you don’t remember it, sign out and use Forgot password? on the login page instead; the emailed link lets you set a new one. See Account issues for the other ways back in.

Setting a password for the first time

If you created your account with Google or an email sign-in code, you don’t have a password yet. The same security settings show Set a password instead: choose a new one (minimum 8 characters), no current password required. Once set, you can sign in with either your password or your original method.

Security emails

You get an email whenever the way your account signs in changes: a password changed or added, or a Google account connected. If it wasn’t you, reset your password straight away and sign out every other session.

Active sessions

A list of every device currently signed into your account, each with basic device information so you can recognize what’s yours. The one you’re using is marked This device. From here you can:

• Sign out a single session
• Sign out every other session at once, keeping only your current one active
