Closing and reopening a round

Closing a round takes the draft away from readers immediately and keeps everything they sent; you can reopen it, or start the next round with the same questions.

Select Close round at the top of a sent round when you’ve got what you need.

What closing does

Readers lose access straight away. Anyone who comes back to the link finds a thank-you page instead of the manuscript, and their own notes if they kept any. Nobody is emailed about it.

Everything they already sent stays: reactions, comments, answers and where each of them got to. Readers who hadn’t finished simply stop where they were.

Reopen

If you closed too early, Reopen puts the round back exactly as it was. Readers can carry on.

Start the next round

From the newest closed round, Start Draft N creates the next one with the same questions already filled in. Pick the documents and readers again, since a new draft is usually a different cut of the book.
