Asking your readers questions

Add questions to a round; readers answer them after every chapter or once at the end, and the answers gather on the Overview tab.

Questions go on the Details tab while you’re setting up a round, and they’re frozen with it when you send.

Two places a question can be asked

• After every chapter: the same question appears at the end of each chapter, so you can see how an answer changes as the book goes on. “Did you want to keep reading?” after chapter three and after chapter nine are two different pieces of information.
• At the end: asked once, after the last chapter.

Kinds of question

Each question is one of: yes / no, a rating from 1 to 5, multiple choice, or freeform text.

Reading the answers

The Survey panel on the Overview tab counts who answered each question. Select a question to see every answer, and for chapter questions, how the answers move chapter by chapter.

End-of-book answers only arrive from readers who finish.
